Becoming a mother

Who knew this would be so terrifying and so wonderful? How do you describe the feeling and awe of becoming a mother? My friends tried to tell me that you change the instant that little wriggling body is laid on top of you, but that was only the beginning. The intense love I immediately had for this little being that God created through the love of my husband and I... Love I have never known, so complete. How much My God loves me? I now have an even more intense knowledge of the pain He suffered with His Son on the cross. This son that He gave us, to raise and teach, to love and enjoy. What a precious gift.
